What personal information DFWI Ghana collects through this website, why, and what you can ask us to do with it.

Who we are

DFWI Ghana Ltd, 43A Spintex Road, Accra, Ghana, is responsible for the personal information collected through this website. We are part of the Douaihy Pour Le Bois group. You can reach us at info@dfwighanaltd.com or +233 54 2888 000.

To be confirmed by DFWI: our registration number with the Data Protection Commission.

What we collect

We only collect what you give us through our forms:

  • Trade enquiries and contact messages: your name, company or workshop, the kind of business you are, phone number, email address, region, project size, the products or decors you ask about, your message, and any file you attach, such as a cutting list or drawing.
  • Careers: your name, phone number, email address, the role you are interested in, your message and your CV.
  • Newsletter: your email address.

With each form we also keep the page it was sent from, the campaign it came from if the link carried one, and the type of browser you used, so we can see which pages bring enquiries. To stop spam we count how many forms are sent from one internet connection; that count is kept for a few minutes and is not stored.

Why we use it

  • To reply to your enquiry, prepare a quote, and supply the products and services you order.
  • To consider your job application.
  • To send the newsletter you asked for.
  • To see which pages and campaigns are useful, so we can improve the website.

We use your information because you asked us to, or because we need it to answer your enquiry or fulfil your order.

Who sees it

Your information is seen by the DFWI Ghana staff who handle enquiries, sales and recruitment. It is stored by the company that hosts our website and content system on our behalf. We do not sell your information or share it with other companies for their marketing.

How long we keep it

To be confirmed by DFWI: how long enquiries, CVs and newsletter addresses are kept.

Your rights

Under Ghana's Data Protection Act, 2012 (Act 843) you can ask us to:

  • tell you what information we hold about you and give you a copy;
  • correct it if it is wrong;
  • delete it, or stop using it for marketing.

To do any of this, or to unsubscribe from the newsletter, email info@dfwighanaltd.com. If you are not satisfied with our answer, you can contact Ghana's Data Protection Commission.
